Is the humanoid the best generalist form for robots?

Pros

• Evolution spent millions of years refining it
• It optimized for interaction with the natural world
• We built a human world around the human figure

Cons

• Evolution can't optimize for an absolute maxima, only local maxima. Every mutation towards a given adaptation must be advantageous on its own or it won't survive.
• Mimicking a design that spent millions of years in development is incredibly hard (see planes)
