Palletizing

Sam: driving is too open for code, but palletizing's problem space and failure modes are maybe three to five orders of magnitude smaller. How well would a 100,000-line controller run a palletizer? Note: single-SKU palletizing already runs well on conventional robot/PLC code; the hard part is mixed-case (varied, damaged or shrink-wrapped boxes, stack planning) and the cost of reprogramming for new SKUs and patterns. So the opening is speed and cost of integration and changeovers, not raw performance.
