T-Rex
Tactile-Reactive Dexterous Manipulation (June 2026). A VLA that reacts to high-frequency touch instead of ignoring it or using static tactile cues. Human-video pre-training, then mid-training on an open 100-hour tactile-synchronized dataset built around elementary motor primitives. About 30% higher average success than the strongest baseline across 12 contact-rich tasks. Naively bolting tactile onto a pretrained VLA made it worse.
