Ponderly is a place to keep the thinking you do out loud with an AI assistant. Your notes are yours. These terms cover what we each agree to.
Agreeing to these terms
These terms are between you and ByCrux LLC ("we", "us"). Using Ponderly means you accept them. If you do not, please do not use it. You need to be at least 13, and old enough where you live to enter an agreement.
What Ponderly is
Ponderly stores and draws a map of the subjects you explore. Your own AI assistant writes to that map while you talk, through a connector you set up. We provide the store, the map, and the tools to tend it. We do not provide the assistant, and we do not take part in your conversations.
Your account
You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to it secure. Tell us promptly if you think someone else has got in. One person, one account.
Connecting an assistant
Ponderly does nothing until you connect an AI assistant to it. That assistant is provided by someone else, under their terms, and what it chooses to write to your forest is its decision and yours, not ours. Anything it writes lands live, and you can change or remove any of it afterwards.
An assistant you connect can write to your forest. Remove the connection and it cannot.
Your content
What you keep in Ponderly is yours. You give us permission to store, process and display it only so far as running the service requires — including showing it to people you have made it visible to. That permission ends when you delete the content or your account.
We do not use your content to train models, ours or anyone else’s.
Sharing
A public profile can be seen by anyone with the address. A private one shows only your name, handle and follower count, so people can ask to follow you. You choose which, and you can change it whenever you like.
If you make your profile public or approve a follower, you are responsible for what you have shared and with whom.
What you may not do
- Break the law with it, or use it to harm, harass or impersonate anyone.
- Upload content you have no right to, or that infringes someone else’s rights.
- Attack the service — probing, overloading, or trying to reach another person’s forest.
- Scrape it, resell it, or run it on someone else’s behalf as your own product.
- Work around limits, or use it in a way that degrades it for other people.
Availability
Ponderly is early software and is offered as it is. We will try to keep it up and to keep your forest safe, but we do not promise it will be uninterrupted or free of faults, and features may change. Keep your own copy of anything you cannot afford to lose.
Ending it
You can stop using Ponderly and ask us to delete your account at any time. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, or where we have to for legal or security reasons — and other than in urgent cases we will tell you why.
Liability
To the extent the law allows, ByCrux LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential loss, including lost data, lost profits or lost goodwill. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Washington, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. The courts of King County, Washington have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute, and you and ByCrux LLC each consent to that venue.
Changes
We may update these terms. The date at the top will change, and we will tell you directly if the change is a significant one. Continuing to use Ponderly after that means you accept the new version.
